Bring on the Books!
Our school, along with several other area schools, participates in a 4th/5th grade reading program each year. The kids read from a book list of thirty great books. They earn prizes for the number of books read between the beginning of January and the end of February. At the end the fifth graders attend a celebration festival with the fifth graders from the other schools where they participate in activities about the books, ending in a rousing game of Book Trivia Jeopardy in the gym.
