It is our goal that the cost of Christian education should never stop a family from attending BCCS. Please see the following information on options that may apply to your family. BCCS offers grants for new families, grants for all families, and other opportunities for tuition reduction through church partnerships and TRIP. We strive to make Christian education possible for all those who desire it for their family. If you have further questions, a board member would be happy to speak with you personally.
Grants for New Families
BCCS Bucks: The BCCS Bucks Program is intended for families who meet the BCCS K-8 admissions criteria. Every NEW family enrolling their children in Byron Center Christian School Kindergarten – 8th grade is eligible for BCCS Bucks. For all families who choose to enroll their child(ren) in BCCS, we will deduct $500 from the second semester tuition of each child. When that family enrolls the following year, another $500 will be deducted from their tuition bill, also in the second semester.
An application must be filled out to receive BCCS Bucks!
Grants for all Families
BCCS Scholarships: One of the ways BCCS helps families cover tuition cost is through providing scholarships. Currently, we offer approximately forty $500 scholarships, which are available for application every year around mid-May and awarded mid-June. Many scholarships address tuition assistance needs. Others address various situations. Following is a sample list of scholarship criteria:
Adopted Child, Child with Special Needs, More than One Child at BCCS, Ongoing Financial Need*, Short-term Financial Hardship, Single Parent Family, Three or More Children at BCCS, and more.
*In order to be eligible for a scholarship with financial need or financial hardship criteria, you must complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment process at the following link. https://online.factsmgt.com/aid

Financial Need Scholarship: Families can apply for financial aid from the school using on online application through FACTS. This allows for quick, confidential, and accurate assessments of a family’s need to help them meet tuition obligations. If you have questions, a school board member will be happy to walk you through the process.
New Life Thrift Store Grant: The New Life Thrift Store was established to provide financial support to South Christian and its area feeder schools. The store’s proceeds are granted to families to reduce the cost of tuition. This grant is available to every student regardless of need.
Foundation Grant: Byron Center Christian Schools has an established Foundation to help reduce the cost of tuition for all families and to provide financial stability for the school. Each year, a percentage of the earnings are gifted back to BCCS families in the form of a direct tuition reduction. This grant is available to every Byron Center Christian student regardless of financial need.
This year the Foundation, New life Thrift Store Grants, Parents Club, and other sources combined reduce each child’s tuition by $944. These grants have already been taken out of the published tuition rates.
TRIP: TRIP is a program in which you can purchase gift cards (online or order form) through Byron Center Christian to shop at food and retail stores. Stores sell the gift cards at a discount and we sell the cards at face value to participants and credit their tuition account with the difference. Anyone in the community can participate (current BCCS families, future families, grandparents, friends, etc) and designate their TRIP earnings to the account of a presently enrolled family, a future family, or to Byron Center’s Tuition Assistance Fund. The cards supplied by TRIP are the stores’ actual gift cards. They are the same as cash; you can buy anything in the store that you would normally purchase. Some stores will allow you to use gift cards to make payments on charge accounts. To see a list of all the stores participating in the TRIP program please visit the Byron Center Christian TRIP page by clicking here.
Church Support: We partner with many area churches in order to help member families afford Christian education. Several of the local churches have a “sliding scale” tuition assistance program. Other churches have their own method of providing assistance as needed. Please contact your church office for more information.
