Paraprofessional
Byron Center Christian School is seeking a caring, collaborative, and student-focused Educational Support Services (ESS) Paraprofessional to join our team. This part-time position is Wednesday–Friday, from 8:00 a.m.–12:45 p.m., and will primarily support students in our middle school.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for supporting the learning needs of middle school students and enjoys working alongside teachers and ESS staff to help students experience success in the classroom. Responsibilities will include providing support to students within the general education classroom, specifically assisting students with identified learning needs and accommodations, as well as co-managing a larger group of middle school students during study hall. The successful candidate should feel comfortable establishing positive relationships with students while maintaining a structured, productive, and supportive environment.
A heart for students, patience, flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are important qualities for this role. We are looking for someone who will contribute to an inclusive learning environment where every student is known, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
