Transformational Learning

See the Story. Live the Story.

For the past 100 years, BCCS has been diligently committed to providing an excellent education rooted in the Word of God. Teaching for Transformation (TfT) ensures our staff intentionally integrates faith into all areas of learning, making our school distinctively Christian. Teaching for Transformation is a design framework for the creation of authentic, formational learning experiences. These learning experiences invite, nurture, and empower teachers and students to play their part in God’s story through their everyday learning.

Individual and community Focus

We are united in God’s story, but each of us has different roles. Each student, teacher, and parent is uniquely gifted to serve in God's Kingdom and we all have a role to play in His big story. Our goal is to help each student discover these gifts in order to fulfill their purpose in the story.

It is nothing but a pious wish and
a grossly unwarranted hope that
students trained to be passive
and non-creative in school will
suddenly, upon graduation,
actively contribute to the
formation of Christian culture.
— Nicholas Wolterstorff

At BCCS, students will develop a personal relationship with Christ and learn to be active in His kingdom using the gifts He has given to them. Our hope is to develop passionate, creative students who use what they are learning to be agents of restoration.
