Storyline

In the beginning, God created everything, and it was good. Sin entered the world and caused brokenness and pain. Things are not how God originally intended. Out of love, God sent His Son into the world to save us and to save our world. Christ died on the cross to redeem each of us. Because of this selfless gift, we can join God in the restoration process of making all things new. Jesus will come again and things will be made perfect, fully restored to how God intended. The focus of TfT is for students to see elements of this big story and how they can engage in the restoration process.

Every classroom has a Storyline. The fundamental purpose of the core practice of Storyline is to connect the learning and the learners to God’s story. Using language and imagery that connects both to the curriculum and to the kingdom story, the Storyline ensures learners see the story – the story of how God is making all things new. A Teaching for Transformation classroom displays evidence of students connecting their learning to God’s story of renewal.
